‘Meridian Tech Park’ to create more than 10,000 direct jobs

In a strategic partnership that taps into Kerala’s high-tech ecosystem, UAE-based business conglomerate Al Marzooqi Holding FZC today announced a Rs 850-crore world-class IT/ITES infrastructure project, named Meridian Tech Park, to be developed at a 3.5-acre site at Technopark Phase-3 here.

The Letter of Intent (LoI) of the landmark Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) project was exchanged between Mr. Ajish Baladevan, CEO, Al Marzooqi Tech Park, and Col Sanjeev Nair (Retd), Technopark CEO, in the presence of Minister for Industries, Law and Coir Shri P Rajeeve, Special Secretary (IT) Shri Seeram Sambasiva Rao, IAS, Shri A.P.M. Mohammed Hanish, IAS, Principal Secretary (Industries and Commerce) at Thiruvananthapuram, on November 05, 2025.

“The landmark twin tower Meridian Tech Park is expected to create more than 10,000 direct jobs and establish a new benchmark for sustainable and future ready infrastructure in India’s IT/ITES landscape, said Shri Rajeeve. “Al Marzooqi’s project points to the fact that major foreign investors are interested in investing in Kerala’s growing knowledge economy,” Shri Rajeeve said on the occasion.

“The state’s New Industrial Policy is based on the idea of inclusive industrialization which aims to nurture nano to big industries,” he added. Following the Invest Kerala Global Summit (IKGS) held earlier this year, major projects with serious foreign investments have started across the state without urban-rural barrier, strengthening the state’s domestic and rural economy, noted the minister.

His Excellency Mohamed Abdulla Mohamed Al Marzooqi, Chairman and CEO, Al Marzooqi said in a video message on the occasion that “the Meridian Tech Park is an important project for Al Marzooqi Holding FZC to strengthen our business ties with India and especially Kerala.” In his message H.E Mohamed Abdulla Mohamed Al Marzooqi added “Al Marzooqi Holding always had a good relation with the people of Kerala and we work together as a family, and we look forward to continue this bond.”

“This landmark project reflects our commitment to fostering innovation, sustainability and technological advancement across the boundaries,” said Mr. Ajish Baladevan, CEO, Al Marzooqi Tech Park. “Meridian Tech Park will bring together cutting-edge infrastructure, smart solutions, and a vibrant business community,” he added.

“IT is one of Kerala’s priority sectors with immense investment potential,” noted Shri A.P.M. Mohammed Hanish. He added that the Industries and IT Departments of Kerala work in close coordination to foster a robust ecosystem for technology-driven industrial growth and the Industries dept will extend full support for this project as well.

State government’s draft IT policy and Global Capability Centres (GCC) policy draft aim to create 5 lakh employment by 2030. For this the state needs high quality infrastructure to meet the demands of the transforming IT sector and private investments, said Shri Seeram Sambasiva Rao. “Al Marzooqi’s Meridian Tech Park is the result of state government’s responsible IT infrastructure development initiatives and investment policy which enabled the fast-tracking of the project, he added.

“Technopark and Al Marzooqi Holding, as the developer and co-developer of the Meridian Tech Park respectively, will work hand in hand like siblings in a family to fast-track this landmark project, which is poised to be a game changer in the state’s IT infrastructure,” said Col. Sanjeev Nair (Retd).

Mr. Daies Idiculla, Manager, Al Marzooqi (UAE), delivered the welcome address in the function in which Techopark officials and other senior officials were also present.

Al Marzooqi Holding is a diversified business conglomerate headquartered in the United Arab Emirates under the leadership of H.E. Mohamed Abdulla Mohamed Al Marzooqi.

With a strong presence across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and international markets, Al Marzooqi Holding remains committed to strengthening trade and investment collaboration between Kerala and the UAE.

The Meridien Tech Park project aims to develop advanced infrastructure focused on AI, Robotics, Aviation, Healthcare, and Logistics IT/ITES services. The integrated AI laboratory by Gaude Solutions will be a highlight of the Tech Park which provides high-performing computing resources, GPU clusters for machine learning, scalable computational capacity and pre-configured development environments.

Gaude’s shared AI lab model enables even small companies to leverage AI capabilities, experiment with machine learning applications and innovate without prohibitive capital requirements.

Planck Brazil’s modular data center solutions which provide flexible and scalable infrastructure addressing the traditional data center dilemma is also planned in industrial parks.

Meridian Tech Park is conceived not just as an office space but a vertical ecosystem where innovation, technology and business converge in a physical manifestation of Kerala’s ambitions in the global technology market place. Both towers of the project will have a capacity of 4000-5000 seats each, creating immediate employment impact and demonstrating project viability.

The project will be purpose-built for technology operations with specialized infrastructure and industry-specific plug-and-play facilities, with sustainability embedded in it. Looking ahead to partnerships spanning countries, Meridian Tech Park will especially provide direct access to UAE and other global markets. Meridian will introduce the first twin-tower configuration to Technopark campus, providing operational flexibility for tenant expansion.

Significantly, Al Marzooqi family’s engagement with India dates back to 1971, spanning over decades of continuous economic relationship through maritime trade.
